In a digital world, telemedicine represents a promising innovation in providing medical and social care services to elderly individuals, those with reduced mobility, or those living in isolated areas. Caritas Czech Republic supports the development of a medical and social care system in Moldova and, in partnership with the Homecare Association, offers telemedicine consultations within 8 medical and social centres across the country.

Caritas Czech Republic facilitates psychological supervision for professionals in Moldova

Professionals in fields like social workers, mental health workers or caregivers, can benefit from essential support in their professional development through a supervisor. Supervisors provide guidance and constructive feedback to the professionals they supervise, and as a result help them to contribute to their personal and professional growth. Caritas Czech Republic, in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health Care Development, launched the first Professional Training Course in Psychosocial Supervision in Moldova.

The war in Ukraine has been going on for 15 long months. Neighboring Moldova has taken in more than 700,000 refugees since the war began and around 100,000 remain in the country. Among them is 41-year-old Aliona, who fled Ukraine with her family. Caritas Czech Republic in Moldova offered her a helping hand. Aliona started helping at the local rehabilitation center immediately after her arrival and is happy that her work is making a difference.
