Caritas Czech Republic contributes to creating a sustainable homecare ecosystem through telemedicine

Caritas Czech Republic in partnership with the Homecare Association launches a pilot project to implement telemedicine (teleconsultations and telemonitoring) in 8 medico-social centers across the country and within its framework, 24 medical and social assistants will be providing remote care services to Moldovan citizens.

8 medical-social centers from all over the country will offer telemedicine services within a pilot project. The initiative aims to increase the population's access to quality social and medical services by providing remote online medical and care consultations. The project is to be implemented by Caritas Czech Republic in partnership with the Homecare Association.

Caritas Czech Republic supports the introduction of a new profession of caregiver

The caregiver is a new profession in development and emerging in the Republic of Moldova that comes to the aid of the elderly and those with special needs. The necessity to introduce a new profession has arisen due to an insufficient number of nurses, who consequently cannot deal with the high demand in homecare services. Caritas Czech Republic is closely cooperating with local stakeholders to introduce the new profession of caregiver.

Afghanistan has long been facing conflicts, the effects of climate change and poverty. The recent takeover of the country by the Taliban will inevitably deepen the humanitarian crisis and significantly worsen the security situation in the country. A large number of Afghans have no choice but to flee the country and seek a safer place to live. A significant increase in the number of refugees in the surrounding states is expected. In response to the situation, Caritas Czech Republic is launching the appeal Caritas Czech Republic for Afghanistan to help refugees in neighbouring countries.
