I just want my life back, says Natalia after she fled from Ukraine to Moldova with her daughters

The war in Ukraine has forced more than six million people to flee their homes and seek refuge in other countries. Natalia is one of them. She fled to Moldova with her twin daughters, where the family is trying to live a decent life. It is hard, especially for the two girls, and they dream of returning home. Caritas Czech Republic has supported them to make their life in Moldova easier.

Eugenia from Moldova lives far from the hospital. Thanks to our help, she has medical care in the comfort of her home

Moldova's health sector is plagued by an outflow of workers abroad. Young people are leaving because of the poor economic situation, leaving mainly the elderly in the country, who suffer from inadequate health and social care, as well as loneliness. Eugenia, 74, was in a similar situation. Seven years ago, a nurse Nina from a nearby home care centre started visiting her. Thanks to her regular visits, Eugenia is feeling much better.
